What percent of a sample of nitrogen must be allowed to escape if its temperature pressure and volume are to be changed from 2 to 20 degree celsius 3 atmosphere and 1.65 metre to 110 degree celsius 0.78 cm and 1 litre respectively?

Let us denote the variables in the first case with P1,V1,T1,n1 and the variables in the second case with P2,V2,T2,n2.

So from the above realtion, we can write

{(P1V1)/(n1T1)}={(P2V2)/(n2T2)}

P1=3atm, P2=0.78 atm

V1=1.65 litre, V2=1 litre

T1=220 degree celcius = 220+273.15 = 493.15K

T2=110 degree celcius = 110+273.15 = 383.15 K
