(34/100) CP = (26/100) SP, so SP/CP = 34/26 so profit is 8/26 Which is equal to 30.76%.

Given:

Gross profit is 26% of selling price

To Find:

What percent of selling price would be 34% of cost price

Solution:

Let SP= 100

Profit = 26% profit on SP = 26

CP = SP - profit = 100 - 26 = 74

X% of SP = 34% of cp

⇒100x/100 = (34/100)*74

               X =25.16%

Hence, 25.16%  of selling price would be 34% of cost price if gross profit is 26% of the selling price.
