Heya user here is ur answer ⤵⤵⤵

✔Properties of water which help in the movement of ascent of sap are as follows:

✴Mutual attraction between water molecules.

✴Attraction of water molecules to polar surfaces such as the surface of tracheary elements.

✴Water molecules are attracted to each other more in the liquid phase than in the gaseous phase.

Hope so it helps u

The physical properties of the water which helps the ascent of xylem SAP at the time of the transpiration are as follows:

  • The mutual attraction in-between the water molecules. This is called the cohesion.
  • There is attraction of the water molecules in the polar surfaces or the surfaces of the tracheary elements. This is also called the adhesion.
  • The tendency of the water molecule is that they are more attracted by each other in the liquid state rather than gaseous state.
