Many measures such as buffer stock and PDS had been started by the government. Further the goals of PDS were made more effective by making it more targeted for poors in all area(RPDS). Further it was made more advanced by launching two government schemes i.e. Antodaya Anna Yojana and Annapurna scheme targetting poorsest of the poors and elderly citizens respectively unnder TPDS. Further many cooperative societies such as Amul has been formed and many employment program such asPMGY and MGNREGA has been started by government
