hey there,

the idea of power sharing has immersed in oposition to the notions for undivided political power. In modern democracies power sharing arrangements can take many forms:-

★ when power is shared amoung different organs of government it is called horizontal distribution of power.

★ here, power is shared amoung the legislative, judiciary, and executive.

★ when power is shared amoung different levels of government it is called as vertical distribution of power.

★ here, power is distributed amoung union goverment, state government, and even local self government.

★ when power is shared amoung different social groups such as religious and linguistic groups.

★ when power is distributed amoung pressure groups, moment groups, political parties etc.

In this way the different forms of power sharing does the work of checking and balancing power in democracy.
