Aram and Mourad are the cousins. They belonged to Garoghlanian family. Both of them were fond of horses. Mourad had stolen a white horse which both of them enjoyed riding on it. This was one of the childish pranks which both of them committed. They realize their mistake and planned to return back the horse back to its owner.

Answer:
In "The Summer of the Beautiful White Horse", Aram and Mourad try to keep the stolen horse with them so that Aram could learn horse riding.
In this poem by William Saroyan, Mourad, the older of the two cousins, first steals the horse from an Assyrian farmer, John Byro.
When Aram sees the horse and tries riding it, the horse throws Aram off its back quite a couple of times.
