What precaution should be taken wle measuring length with a ruler?

The precaution that should be taken while measuring length era given below:- 1.the scale should be kept parallel to the measuring side. 2.if the edge of the scale is broken the end of measuring side should be coincided with next reference point. 3.eye shouldn't be fixed at left or right side ,it should be kept vertically above the scale.
