1. Always keep water containers with you.
2. Carry first aid kit and essential medecines
3. Have your clothes secured in a plastic bag.
4. Complete all preparatory measures like fixing shutters, securing doors      and windows and storing loose articles.
5. Stay inside. Seek shelter in the safest part of the house.          6. Disconnect all electrical appliances.                                                              7. Listen attentively to cyclone bulletins and advice on the Radio / TV.
8. Protect yourself with mattresses, tugs and blankets.
9. After cyclone clean your yard, if any, and drain out stagnant water to prevent proliferation of mosquitoes/diseases.
10.Beware of fallen power lines, damaged buildings and trees and flooded water courses.                                                                                          11.Do not consume fallen fruits.                                                              12.Boil water for drinking purposes.
13.Listen attentively to cyclone bulletins.
14.Shelter domestic animals.
15.Secure vehicles.
