Volumetric strain = 10% = 10 x 10^-2

Bulk modulus of elasticity = 6 x 10^9 N/m^2

To find pressure intensity

We know that Bulk modulus of elasticity = k = volumetric stress / volumetric strain

Therefore volumetric stress = K x Volumetric strain

Also Pressure intensity = K x volumetric strain

                                     = 6 x 10^9 x 10 x 10^-2

Therefore pressure intensity will be 6 x 10^8 N / m^2
