Given:-

  • Force , F = 10 N

  • Side of box = 1 m

To Find:-

  • Pressure ,P

Solution:-

As we know that Pressure is defined as the Force per unit Area.

Firstly we calculate the area of box on which the force act.

Area of box = side ×Side

= 1m×1m = 1m²

• P = F/a

Substitute the value we get

→ P = 10/1

→ P = 10 Pa

Therefore, the pressure acting on the box is 10 Pascal.

Additional Information

Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀OR

A push or pull of an object is called force.

✧ SI unit of Force is Newton.

✧ It is denoted by N.

✧ Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

✧ Mathematical term

• Force = Mass×Acceleration
