The irony that the Nobel prize and the all the fame that it brought the Curies in it's wake did not really get them wanted what they wanted.Pierre did not become a professor at the University of Sorbonne.They did not get a laboratory.Their own nation was the last to recognise their own contribution to scientific school and it was only Pierre's school which supported with the little bit of money it had of it's own.
