Rs800

Given gain percentage =20% and the CP of an article =Rs 600

Now, Gain =

100

600×20

=Rs 120

By using formula SP= gain +CP

SP=Rs 600+Rs 120=Rs 720

Suppose the MP=x

Since, he allow a discount =10%

As per question,

⇒x−10% of x=Rs 720

⇒x−

100

10×x

=720

100

90x

=720

⇒x=

90

720×100

=Rs 800

Hope it helps ❤️

Answer:

The price of the article is Rs.800.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A shopkeeper mark on an article which costs him Rs.600 to gain 20% after allowing a discount of 10%.

To find : What price should a shopkeeper mark on an article?

Solution :

CP= Rs.600

Gain = 20%

SP = \frac{G\%+100}{100}\times CPSP=

100

G%+100

×CP

SP = \frac{20+100}{100}\times 600SP=

100

20+100

×600

SP = 1.2\times 600SP=1.2×600

SP = Rs.720SP=Rs.720

Shopkeeper allows a discount of 10%

Let the price be x,

So, x-\frac{10x}{100}=720x−

100

10x

=720

\frac{9x}{10}=720

10

9x

=720

x=800x=800

Therefore, The price of the article is Rs.800.
