Answer:

875 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

1- let the breadth be 5x

       the length be 7x

As the ratio between them is 5:7

2- The perimeter = 120 cm

So, 2(5x+7x) = 120

    10x + 14x = 120

   24x = 120

  x = 120/24

    x= 5

3- length =7x = 7*5 = 35 cm

 breadth= 5x =5*5 = 25 cm

4- So, the area =  l*b = 35*25 = 875 cm²

ANSWER :

Area = 875 cm²

EXPLANATION :

GIVEN :

The length and breadth of a rectangular are in the ratio 5 : 7 and perimeter is 120 cm.

TO FIND :

Area of rectangular shape.

SOLUTION :

● Length and breadth are in 5 : 7 . So that -

=> Length = 5x and breadth = 7x

● According to the question –

=> Perimeter = 2 (Length + breadth)

=> 120 = 2(5x + 7x)

=> 120 = 2(12x)

=> x = 5

● So that –

=> Length = 25 cm

=> Breadth = 35 cm

● Now Let's find area –

=> Area = length × breadth

=> Area = 25 × 35

=> Area = 875 cm²
