The problems which are faced by the foreign countries to trade with India in ancient times are as follows -
- The first and the most significant problem was the transportation. There were several countries which had to use the sea routes for the transportation, as there was no land routes between their country and India. And, we all know that the sea voyages at the ancient times were extremely dangerous and life threatening. .
- The consequent problem is extremely long voyage times will reduce the pace of the trading.
- India was not fully civilised at that time period, so the full infrastructural cooperation from the Indian sides was unavailable.
- In the initial days, the communication was also a problem due to linguistic differences.
