The Problems which were faced by India were:-

There were so many challenge that India was facing in the process of nation building. A significant contribution of Indian national movement had been to forge India’s unity cutting across class, caste, ethnic and religious divides. It was achieved as a struggle against colonialism. After 1947, when the British had left India there was a resurfacing of tensions inherent in the Indian society. The foremost was the challenge of religious communalism. The national movement’s attempt at uniting Hindus and Muslims in face of the higher challenge of colonialism was undermined even when the major movements like Non-cooperation and Civil Disobedience Movements were withdrawn.

The Problems which were faced by Brazil were:-

First of all, the national union was a major problem. Latin America was divided into many smaller nations with many political problems, Brazil could have faced the same problem. Many revolts happened in Brazil during XIX century, Farrapos and Cabanagem are two of them I can remember now, and all of them wanted to get separated and independent. The Empire of Brazil (yes, we had a king) had this as the main concern: maintain Brazil as one strong nation.

Them they had the problem with the country size. Brazil was/is huge, and during the XIX century, it was pretty hard to make things around Brazil’s countryside, nation’s deepest parts as the Amazon Jungle, central plateau or the northeast desert. Infrastructure was a major deal, just the main cities in the south could say they had an European standard. Train, streets, navy, ports… The country needed to build them from scratch.
