Aim : To observe the pollen tube. Apparatus : Microscope, Sugar solution, flowers (Alium cepa) slide, coverslip, brush. Procedure : (i) Collect any mature flower keep them in sugar solution for 6 - 7 hours. It enhances the germination of pollen grain. (ii) Take a slide, put a drop of water on it. (iii) With the help of brush tap on flower to collect pollen from flowers already kept in sugar solution. (iv) Observe under microscope. Draw what you have seen in your notebook.
