Explanation: The electrodes (one positive and one negative) and the electrolyte undergo a chemical reaction which turns chemical energy into electrical energy. the electrode with positive charge (anode) loses the electron and travels to the cathode (negative charge) through the electrolyte and then the electrons get deposited at the cathode.
