Cellular respiration and fermentation are two biological process that occurs in living organisms that utilizes glucose in order to produce a common product named adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Cellular respiration is a type of aerobic respiration that requires oxygen to convert glucose into water, carbon dioxide and energy in the form of ATP. Fermentation is the anaerobic respiration which takes place without oxygen which converts glucose into ethanol or lactic acid, carbon dioxide and energy in the form of ATP.
