Mrs Packletide opted for a tiger hunting adventure not because a lust for killing had suddenly descended upon her neither was it for decreasing the tiger population for her safety. Her only reason for killing a tiger was that she wanted to one-up her rival, Luna Bimberton. Packletide was jealous of Luna and her only plan was to show that she was better than her.
In the end Mrs packletide did succeed in killing a tiger and making Luna jealous but we cant exactly say that her success was a happy one because she got scammed by a lot of money by her assisstant Louisa Mebbin.
