Given:

Consider the given expressions :

(1) 2/3 + 4/5 = 4/5 + 2/3

(2) 1/3 x 2/3 = 2/3 x 1/3

Find:

Property that is used in above

Solution:

If any two numbers follow

(1) a + b = b + a then we call it commutative property of two two numbers over addition

(2) a.b = b.a then we call commutative property of two two numbers over multiplication

Therefore given (1) is follow commutative property over addition

And (2) is follow commutative property over multiplication

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If a=2/3 , b=4/5.

1.a+b=b+a

a + b = 2/3 + 4/5 = 22/15.

b + a = 4/5 + 2/3 = 22/15.

Hence a+b=b+a . It is proved.

If a=1/3 , b=2/3.

2.a×b=b×a

a * b = -1/3 * 2/3 = -2/9.

b * a = 2/3 * -1/3 = - 2/9.

Hence a+b=b+a . It is proved. It is cumulative property .
