Physical characteristics of minerals

1. External crystal form 2. Cleavage 3. Fracture

4. Luster 5. Color

Explanation:

1)  External crystal:

by this means External crystal shape of the individual crystal and what look outside. we know the where thing made of atom and group of atom together is molecules. internal arrangement molecules of the crystal reason being

external of the crystal.

2. Cleavage :

when a crystal breaks it happen due to fracturing. structural weakness internal molecule arrangement that particular area of crystal weak that causes crack.

3. Fracture:

fracture cleaving almost same one but only differs clean happens in plain   area of the  crystal  fracture takes non plain area.

surface is always rough.

4. Luster:

each mineral has different luster some are metallic shine silky etc,

it total depends  of color mineral because of the color light is reflected

from minerals external surface that only be the sparkle's

5. Color

wave lengths of reflected according  and that's how we find the minerals white green blue.

this are five major property
