Qualifications required for a governor:

  • He should have an age of 35 or above.  
  • He should be a citizen of India.
  • Technically he should not be belonging to that state to influence.  
  • He should not hold any other office.
  • He cannot belong to either house of the parliament.
  • If he is empowered with the position of two states allowances are shared by the following states in proportions that is being accounted for by the President himself.
