qualifications are required to be a judge of the supreme Court are -
1.should be high court judge for 5 years
OR
High court ADVOCATE for 10 years
2.Judicial officer with 10 years experience

Judge can be removed by process of IMPEACHMENT

A person must be a well qualified existing judge of the supreme court and cannot be chosen directly...It happens only based on his experience...A team of judges of the supreme court recommend someone to be the next chief justice...Remember a judge can only be impeached but not removed...Removed is a wrong term used..He can be impeached by an impeachment motion passed separately by two - thirds members of the two houses of the parliament...And also any judge of supreme court has never been impeached since independence till today
