Slater is a red faced plump woman who had been so materialistic and vigorous. She can stoop down to any level to get her things done and to satisfy her needs. She is completely self oriented person who is least bothered about others emotional feelings. She is so greedy, dishonest, deceitful, impolite and insensitive.

Mrs. slater is unscrupulous, greedy, deceitful, dishonest, selfish, impolite and insensitive. she unfairly claims her father's . shows her unscrupulous and honest manner. she has her father's bureau and clock from room, before her sister's arrival. hence, i can say she is greedy. she wants to deceive her sister by their father's . i can say that she is impolite and insensitive as she doesn't even wait for her sister's arrival and father's funeral and has started dividing between them (i.e the two sisters)
