Evelyn’s music teacher, Ron Forbes was an inspiring man who had the acumen to see hidden musical talent in Evelyn. When other teachers discouraged her from pursuing music, he encouraged her. He tuned two drums to different notes and told Evelyn to listen to the music through ways other than ears. Acting upon her teacher’s advice, she realized she could sense notes in different parts of her body.
