i think you mean `Animals’ by Walt Whitman

=> The author feels that animals are placid and self contained , They are satisfied with their lives and do not lie awake in the dark weeping for their sins , they do not complain and cry neither do they kneel to one another , everyone is given the due respect and everyone of them seems happy
