What quantity of water results from the combustion of a 0.5⋅g mass of dihydrogen gas?

2H2 + O2 ------> 2H2O

Here H2 is the limiting reactant.

0.5 g of H2 = 0.5/2

                   = 0.25 mol

For every 2 mole of H2, 2 mole of water is formed.

So, for 0.25 mole of H2, 0.25  mole of H2O will be formed.

Molar mass of H2O = 18 u

Mass of H2O formed = 0.25 x 18

                                    = 4.5 g
