ANSWER:-

MULTIPLE ALLELES:-

☘ Alleles are alternative forms of a gene.

More than two alleles if s gene are called multiple alleles and the phenomenon is called multiple allelesome.

☘ They are responsible for differences in phenotypic expression of a given trait.

☘ Multiple alleles of a gene are present at the same locus on homologous chromosomes.

A, B, O blood grouping is an excellent example.

☘ It was discovered by Karl Landsteiner.

☘ The inheritance of multiple alleles was explained by Bern Steiner.

☘ Lansteiner discovered two antigens namely Antigen A and Antigen B.

☘ Based on the presence of Antigen A and Antigen B, he classified four types of blood groups.

☘ Most genes are not multiple alleles but they exists only in one or two forms within a population.
