political parties play an important role in a democracy so it is natural for the people to blame parties for its failures to perform their functions well. where is challenges faced by political parties are as follows
(i)lack of internal deocracy: there is a lack of internal democracy within the parties for example organisational elections are not held regularly most of the decisions are taken by the president or the top leaders in the party
(ii) dynastic succession family members of the more close to the top leaders does are favoured at the time of granting tickets for contesting election sometime deserving members are denied tickets
(iii) use of money and muscle power political parties want to win elections at all cost parties use money power to purchase votes and Finance high pitched campaigns which candidates are nominated so that they win election
(iv) hardly any scope of choice to the voters there are no ideological differences among parties in the most of the countries in the world including India the difference on the economic politics has reduced almost all parties have favoured liberalisation and globalisation does there is no real choice before the voters

Heya

Here is your answer

1. The first challenge is lack of internal democracy within parties. All over the world there is a  tendency in political parties towards the concentration of power in one or few leaders on top.  Parties do not keep membership registers, do not hold organizational meetings, and do not conduct  internal elections regularly.

2. The second challenge of dynastic succession is related to the first one. Since most political parties  do not practice open and transparent procedures for their fun functioning, there are few ways for  ordinary workers to rise to the top of the party.

3. Those who happen to be the leaders are in position of unfair advantage to favor people close to  them or even their family members. This is also bad for democracy, since people who do not have  adequate or popular support come to occupy positions of power.

4. The third challenge is about the growing role of money and muscle power in parties, especially  during elections. Since parties are focused on winning elections, they tend to use shortcuts to win  elections. They tend to normalize those parties who have or can raise lots of money.

5. The fourth challenge is that very often parties do not seem to offer a meaningful choice to the  voters. In recent years, there have been decline in the ideological differences among parties in most  parts of the world.

6. Some people cannot even elect very different leaders either, because the same set of leaders keep  shifting from one party to another.
