Xerophytic plants are the plants which live in arid or dry regions (deserts). They have long roots which go deep into the soil to absorb water. Their leaves are modified into spines to reduce transpiration. Even their fleshy stems can store water. Ex- cactus, sagebrush, juniper, etc.
