Sum of 3/14 and -4/7 is:

3/14+(-4/7)

3/14-4/7

3/14-8/15/4

3-8/14

-5/14

Let the x should be subtracted from -5/14 to get 13/21

So,

-5/14-x=13/21

-x=13/21-5/14

-x= 13×14-5×21/21×14

-x= 182-105/294

-x= 77/294

-x= 11/42

x= -11/42
