Heya ✋

Sum of 3/14 and -4/7

= 3/14 + (-4)/7

= 3 - 8/14

= -5/14

Let the required number should be subtracted be x. Then,

According to question ,

-5/14 - x = 13/21

=> -x = 13/21 + 5/14

=> -x = 26 + 15/42

=> -x = 41/42

=> x = -41/42

Hence , the required number should be subtracted is 41/42.

Thanks :))))

Heya !!!

★ Sum of 3/14 and -4/7

=> 3/14 + (-4/7)

=> 3/14 - 4/14

=> 3 - 8/14

=> -5/14

Let X should be subtracted from -5/14 to get 13/21.

According to question,

-5/14 - X = 13/21

-5 - 14X/14= 13/21

21 ( -5 - 14X ) = 13 × 14

-105 - 294X = 182

-294X = 182+105

-294X = 287

X = -287/294

X = -41/42

Hence,

-41/42 should be subtracted from the sum of 3/14 and -4/7 to get 13/21.
