1- Direct democracy
It is the pure form of democracy in which the general public contributes to the grass level.
In this people decide on matters of policy.
In times today, England is said to have been practicing direct democracy.
2- Indirect democracy
In this form people elect their representatives, who then run for becoming the ruler of the country who then forms the government.
Public gives messages to the representative who then makes policies.

Hi mate
QUESTION :- what are the types of democracy?
ANSWER
There are two types of democracy :-
- Direct democracy
- Representative democracy
Explanation
- Direct democracy :- Direct democracy places all power in the hands of the individual. When political decisions must be made, all members of a polity gather together and individuals cast a vote. In theory, this sounds like the ideal form of government. There are no intermediaries. Each person is treated as an equal, and each person is given a chance to directly influence the policymaking process.
- Representative democracy :- As political communities change and evolve, so does our understanding of how democracy should be implemented. The second major type of democracy is referred to as representative democracy. This political arrangement establishes an intermediary political actor between the individual and the policy outputs of the state. Through the electoral process, one person or a group of people are elected and assigned with the task of making decisions on behalf of the group of citizens that they represent. In the United States, we have multiple intermediaries.
Hope it helps you
