In his speech Brutus tries to justify the murder of Caesar. He says that ceasar was killed for the good of Rome. According to him, Caesar had become ambitious and wanted to be the king of Rome. Although he loved Caesar deeply, he loved Rome more. He did not like that the citizens of Rome should live in slavery under Caesar. He killed Caesar so that the citizens should live in freedom from tyranny and oppression. He says that every Roman would be happy that a tyrant has been killed. every real Patriot should approve the murder of Caesar.
