What remains when 55ml of hydrogen reacts with 20ml of oxygen? All volumes measured at 100 degrees celsius and 100kPa

We know,

2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O

SO, 2 mole of H2 reacts with 1 vol of O2 to give water. Therefore.

20ml of O2 will react with 40ml of H2 to give water. Here, O2 is the limiting reactant.

therefore, Volume of O2 left unreacted

= ( 55 - 40 )

= 15 ml
