What request did the narrator make to his Cousin Mourad about the horse ? How did he react to it ?
Answers
Answer:
When it came to riding, Aram, was as passionate and fanatic as his cousin, Mourad. Aram wanted the horse to be returned only after he would also learn to ride the horse thoroughly. He pleaded to Mourad to return the horse only after he himself had learnt to ride. Mourad got angry and said Aram would take a year to learn riding, he could not keep the horse for a year, however, he agreed to to keep the horse for six more months.
The narrator was interested in learning how to ride the horse. So, the author wanted his cousin to keep the horse with him till he had mastered this skill. Hence, he requested Cousin Mourad to not return the animal to its rightful owner who was a farmer.
However, Mourad was against this because it could take as long as a year to learn to ride. It was not ethical to retain the horse with him so long.
