Really interesting question, but complected.

In early days, when humans were prominent hunters and gatherers of the wild, they kept moving from one place to another in order to survive. They don’t have nativity, permanent shelter and permanent food habit.

People were lived in a small groups or tribes. Prominent hunting and gathering satisfied the need of the small group. But, time made it difficult to satisfy the food needs all time. Population had started growing rapidly and so the need for food. This was the first time the primitive humans started adopting the wild plants and animals for their food need. They found that the practice of adopting the wild plants animals helped a lot to satisfy the food needs. So they started their journey in search for water resources for their agricultural practices. They found lakes, rivers, ponds and started settling on banks. Now the tribes became settlers. Introduced new methods in agricultural development. Introduced new methods in building shelters. Thus they started thriving in a permanent environment to become a modern civilized human kind.

It all started from one point, that was need.
