hey mate here is your answer

The cold Within, the poet has shown how people are divided all over the world based on some narrow considerations like racism, religion hatred, class distinction and prejudice.

In the poem the six ''humans'' where there around the dying fire and everybody had a stick to give the fire a new lease of life.

But no one came to share their wood because they had hatred in the mind for others.

Answer:

The cold within is a fascinating poem which I got the privilege to study in detail as it is included in ICSE class 10 literature.

Through the poem, the poet basically signifies the hatred and feeling of discrimination in human heart. Their were six people near the fire, each discriminated one other. Their discrimination was based on gender, color, religion, economic status, vengeance and greed. And hence all of them ended up dying because they weren't able to put their stick in fire to protect the others from cold. Hence discrimination sets the main theme of the poem
