Root nodules of some leguminous plants have association with the bacteria which increases nitrogen content in soil and thus increases fertility.

Leguminous plants have nitrogen fixing bacteria inside their root nodules that hepls in the fixing free atmospheric nitrogen into nitrogen compunds. it increases the nitrogen content in the cell which is essential to maintain the fertility of the soil and hepls in the growth of crops.
