what role does air present in nasal cavity play in the process of respiration

During respiration, the hairs in the nasal cavity picks the dust and also the dust particles sticks to the mucus in the nasal cavity. Thus it acts as a dustpurifier for the air entering in to our body for the respiration in the process of inhalation.

When we inhale, the dust particles get trapped in the hair present in our nasal cavity. Thus, the hair present in the nasal cavity filters the air.
