like oxygen carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is necessary for life to exist on plants .in the day time plant use carbon dioxide and give off oxygen to produce food in the process pf photosynthesis ......Thys the process is known as photosynthesis.

one of the first thing we have learnt in biology class that animals breathe in oxygen nd exhale CO2 ,while plants take CO2 during day and relase oxygen during day .this process is called "photosynthesis " .plant use the energy in sunlight to convert CO2 and water to sugar and oxygen.
