if there is not a good education then the jobs in society will be down graded and then the jobs and work will not grow to become bigger and better.'

Education plays a vital role in the growth of society. If all person of a society are uneducated, just imagine, they become unable to understand about anything like if someone is uneducated, he/she will not know that Earth revolve around Sun. And then they start making useless theories which all people will believe. Cause nobody have gone to space to see it. Now just compare it, if a society is full of educated people and they want to know what really happens with the Sun and Earth, they just make an aircraft and go to the space for seeing so. That's the real reason for this question.
