Well media and networking plays a critical role for the poor.
Talking about poors we know that they can't afford Televisions or Smart Phones and they can't use the media and networking personally for them but still media and networking can help the poor by raising their grievances and demands in front of the government and forcing the government to take care of their problems that they face everyday in life.
Media and networking can make the government and NGOs aware of the problems like malnutrition, sanitation problems, illiteracy and lack of health facilities among the poor and raise their demands.
Thus, media though it can't help the poors directly but it still plays an important role for their Development.
