It was on a snowy day that Doris finds the puppy. She had been shovelling the snow, which had covered the automobiles and the fields, from her front steps. Everything over there was affected. She finds the puppy walking towards her house without anyone and shivering. Doris takes the puppy home but is not well received by her parents. The snow which had covered their place helps her in getting permission to keep the puppy at home and that lasted for nine days. Otherwise, it is a home where they can’t afford a pet. The dog behaves well and wins the heart of everyone in the family that even Doris’s father is not able to leave it in the pound inspite of taking it there.
