Answer:

Good soil is very important, due to many reasons like:-

  1. Good soil is deposited with silt, minerals, and other important nutrients due to which, farmers always prefer a good soil
  2. Soil contains bacteria that help in the decaying of organic microbes inside the soil, which makes the soil fertile, also not harming the plant in the process.
  3. Soil also has the free-living annelids or the Earthworm, which is often referred to as the Farmer's friend. Nonetheless, it helps to create air tunnels in the soil, therefore allowing the water to reach deep inside the soil and the roots easily.
  4. Soil contains ammonia salt, which is converted by some soil living bacteria known as Nitrosomonas. It converts the ammonia into Nitrates and Nitrides, which is required by the plant to carry out its life processes
  5. The Soil has bacterias like Azotobacter and Clostridium, which converts the Nitrogen in the air, into Nitrates and Nitrides, and therefore, allows the plant to take in these nutrients so as to carry out its life processes.
  6. In soil, leguminous plants can be planted, which has Rhizobium bacteria in its roots. This bacteria also convert the Nitrogen of the air to Nitrates and Nitrides
  7. When we use fertilizers in the soil, the soil passes the fertilizers to each and every plant. Though we should always avoid chemical fertilizers and use natural manures.
