Collidal solution➙ A mixture in which the substances are regularly suspended in a fluid.

Ex:- Salt water

_________________________⤵

❖ It is known as suspension.

❖ These are also known as colloidal dispersions because the substances remain dispersed and do not settle to the bottom of the container.

❖ The dispersing medium is the substance in which the colloidal particles are distributed.

❖ Every colloid consists of two parts:-

➙ Colloidal particles
➙ Dispersing medium

❖ It is a microscopically small substance that is equally dispersed throughout another material.

Hi!

A colloidal solution is a heterogeneous system in which one substance is dispersed (dispersed phase) as very fine particles in another substance called dispersion medium. It is the intermediate system between a solution and a suspension. The size of colloidal particles is between 1 nm and 1000 nm.
