Rectifier is a kind of a Electrical device which converts the electric current to flow through it only in one direction ......It basically convert alternating current (AC) into direct current(DC). This process is known as rectifier which is also known as Straighten the direction of current.

Rectifier are now further on divided into three parts:

• Controlled
• Half controlled
• fully controlled
