Fire extinguishers are used to stop fire and cut off oxygen supply.

Carbon dioxide is present in fire extinguishers.

✔Fire can also be extinguished by water but not in case of electrical equipment because water is a conductor of electricity & can give electrical shocks to the person who's extinguishing it.

That's the reason why CO2 is used to extinguish fire.

✔Fire extinguisher helps in removing one of the important source which leads to the creation of fire and that is the oxygen

✔It makes a layer of carbon dioxide so that oxygen can't reach the fuel and as a result fire stops out burning .
