What is matter?

♦ Everything in the universe and our surroundings which has its own space, shape, design is commonly known as "matter".

♦ There are infinite examples to say matter is everywhere, We can find every objects with space, shape, its own design.

♦ A pen, A book, A teddy doll, etc - Everything has its own shape and structure. This is Matter in our surroundings.

Types of matter:

★ Solid

★ Liquid

★ Gases.

Solid: This is the hardest substance its structure is vey hard it can be of any shape and texture i.e, Stone, Table, etc.

Liquid: This is the liquid substance doesn't have a proper structure but it's one of the phase of matter i.e, Water, Oil, etc.

Gas: This too doesn't have a definite shape it's neither a hard substance not a liquid substance i.e, Water vapour, Oxygen, etc.
