Answers
Answer:
Schedule as a Data Collection Technique in Research. Schedule is the tool or instrument used to collect data from the respondents while interview is conducted. Schedule contains questions, statements (on which opinions are elicited) and blank spaces/tables for filling up the respondents.
An operating system uses two types of scheduling processes execution, preemptive and non - preemptive.
Preemptive process: In preemptive scheduling policy, a low priority process has to be suspend its execution if high priority process is waiting in the same queue for its execution.
Non - Preemptive process:
advantages-
Advantages of observation :
1. This is the most suitable method when the informants are unable or reluctant to provide information.
2. In this method if observation is done accurately then the subjective bias is eliminated.
3. The information obtained under this method relates to what is currently happening; it is not complicated either by the past behaviour or future intentions or attitudes.
4. It is independent of respondents’ willingness to respond.
5. This method provides deeper insights into the problems and data is accurate and quicker to process.
disadvantages-
1. It is an extensive method.
2. The information obtained by this method is very limited.
3. Sometimes unforeseen factors may interfere with the observational task.
4. In many situations the researcher cannot predict when the events will occur.
5. Participants may be aware of the observer and, as a result, may alter their behaviour or response.
6. Because of personal biases and lack of training the observer may not record specifically what he observes.
